The other mages think I’m a fraud, and they’re not afraid to say it. And when a young woman is found murdered inside the fortress walls—her body laid out in a wizard’s diagram—the first person they look to is the anomaly who happens to know wizard magic.
I was called in to translate the spell, but I quickly realized I was also a suspect.
As more bodies start to drop, I need to find the real killer, or Stormhaven will decide I’m guilty. And this time, I won’t just lose my place in the Blue Shields. I could lose my freedom—or my life.
